I'm sort of a KPLUG member in "spirit" ... in other words, I've never been to a KPLUG meeting (well, I've never even been in California). I post to the mailing lists occasionally, but you'll almost always find me in #kernel-panic. Which, by the way is how I ended up doing this.

I am a contributing developer for the Enlightenment Project, and the author of a radical new display manager for X11 systems called Entrance that is primarily based on Evas, the Enlightenment canvas library. Unfortunately I do not have a page up for Entrance yet, and there isn't an official release either (it is for developers and the adventurous only atm). But if you're really curious, you can check it out of Enlightenment CVS, or at least see a screenshot of it at http://xcomputerman.com/pages/images/entrance2.png.
