Can Linksys AP like WRT54G function as a "bridge" (bring wifi to non-wifi PC?)

A USB wifi component or a PCMCIA wifi card would be nice too.  I just wasn't
sure there were any that Just Worked.  I bought a NetGear PCMCIA card 3 days
ago and it wanted ndiswrapper magic to work so I gave up.
