Not to mention that if you don't mount it noatime the atime on / is 
updated every time you modify something on the disk which could cause 
that particular memory cell in the flash memory to fail due to the 
write-limited nature of the flash technology we have today. I know it is 
hundreds of thousands or perhaps millions of writes but it is still 
something to consider.
