I've gotten pretty intimate with svn lately and I find that I really
like it. It suits our needs perfectly. I am keeping both host config
files in it as well as the code for our main project and have been doing
so for the last two months. Over this past weekend I migrated the
repository to a new box and changed the layout a bit to adhere more with
best practices and found the dump/edit/restore process fairly
straightforward.

I was just reading the subversion mailing list and came across this
comparison of clearcast to svn that some might be interested in:
