I think far too many people are overthinking this whole situation, and
honestly, I'm not sure that Neil's entitling this thread "The SDCS coup"
has helped matters any.
The primary reason that SDMUG members were able to take the 8 available
seats was that there was nobody else there to challenge them. Of the
various KPLUG members that actually are SDCS members, only one was not
term-limited out (Josh). Hell, even I am part of the problem by not
becoming an SDCS member so I could have contributed.
All of us here that haven't contributed time and money in the form of an
SDCS membership don't really have all that much to complain about, IMHO.
I think we should all sit back and see just what the new SCDS board will
plan on doing, and request that they be communicative with all the SIGs
throughout their terms. If they screw the pooch, so be it. But lets wait
until we see clear signs of malice before talking of lawyers and AGs and
DAs and the IRS. Hell, these people have only barely had time to get the
meeting minutes to the rest of the SDCS members, let alone actually _do_
anything yet.
If you can't wait, boiling oil and torches are --> that way. Swords and
arrows are <-- that way.
