linux yahoo messenger

Ive tried 3 alternatives now, on fbsd. ymessenger fails because no chat
button appears, gtkyahoo and everybuddy both spew gtk errors.  gtkyahoo
wouldnt even build, everybuddy builds, but when I try to add an acct, even
after correcting the module path, the acct type drop down is blank.
