well, there are people that have the experience.
in 1950 the skytrain in wuppertal (germany) had an advertizing tour
for a circus with a young elephant who decided that he didn't like it,
and jumped out of the moving train.
there is no real photo, but maybe the picture on
can give you an idea.
the elephant survived with just a few bruises.
