who's trying to get lynx/galeon to modify their DNS settings? (and
whoever that may be should stop such nonsense). #2 seems like a general
problem, not just related to web apps, just look at the word processing
world ( actually don't look - let's not go down that route :).

i do agree that the stateless nature of http is, fairly commonly, a problem.
