NFS woes

Ok I got my ISA Nics working, had to configure them manually. I just
recently installed RH7.2 after a HD failure on my main server.

 Anyhow, I have a RH 6X machine running a NFS file server. I have a RH7.2
P200 desktop and I'm able to send and retrieve files from the NFS machine
fine. But the P120 RH7.2 server I'm setting up seems to have a problem
with copying files to the RH6 NFS server.

I can copy files from the RH6 NFS server to the RH7 server fine, but
when I copy files to the RH6 server the copy locks up and I get bunch of
these in /var/log/messages
Mar 1 17:07:10 dixie kernel: nfs: task 69 can't get a request slot
Mar 1 17:07:10 dixie kernel: nfs: task 70 can't get a request slot
Mar 1 17:07:10 dixie kernel: nfs: task 71 can't get a request slot
......
Mar 1 17:07:12 dixie kernel: nfs: task 78 can't get a request slot
Mar 1 17:07:12 dixie kernel: nfs: task 79 can't get a request slot
Mar 1 17:07:12 dixie kernel: nfs: task 80 can't get a request slot
(dixie is RH7.2)

Again, I have a 7.2 machine installed that this works fine in (my desktop
machine). I also thought this might be a hardware problem and I changed 4
NICs (All ISA if that matters) and changed the slots on dixie.

During this period that the cp command is locked up, df will hang. ls on
the mounted NFS drive will hang also. All other network activity still
works. Installing an RPM during this period seems to hang also (tried
this on 3 occasions, I'm not sure why this would be happening. Creating or
copying files on all drives seems to be ok so this seems wierd.)

Thinking this might be a wierd UDP problem (NFS is UDP right?) I tried
ftping files (not UDP but just tried)to the NFS server, worked fine,
copied files to the NFS server with smbclient(Samba is running on there
also), works fine. All this done while interchanging NIC's and swapping
ISA slot locations. (And no I didn't actaully change the NIC's during the
file transfers, like cron doesn't run while the machine is off BAH SSA)

I've run out of google search critera. Any hints?

To keep it in Kplug material. Damn, The Chargers let go two of thier
better receivers. IMO of course. Do they plan on getting other good
recivers besides that one lung punt returner?
