Woody and XFree 4.x confusion

I'll hand it to Nvidia.. their drivers are binary only (which I don't like)
but they are pretty damn slick (which I do like :) ).

I've said it before, but: playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein on my box under
Linux is noticably smoother then under WinXP on the same box.  Don't know if
it's just damn good drivers for X from nvidia, or the fact that I have an SMP
box and linux just does SMP better... or both.
