What to do with extra clock cycles?

Isn't it an aweful reflection on the television industry as a whole that I 
have 300+ channels to look at and nothing of the most part to watch?  I find 
myself watching Discovery or TLC more than anything else ... of course there 
is always the Sci-Fi channel which for the most part I do enjoy.
