Hostname and MTA setup for cable modem users

Hey, I've actually been fighting with this for awhile myself.  I've got
everything working so I can send mail just fine, but when someone tries to
reply is doesn't work.  Doesn't even look like it's hitting my linux box.
The message from the linux email (postfix) has a return email addy of:

linuxnut@<ip>.cx98468-a.escnd1.sdca.home.com

But when I reply to that addy it bounce back within seconds
