[Kooler] Muscovy duck... Yum!

I always buy the meat that's on special and is a good deal, but
sometimes....

Trader Joe's caught me with their radio ad... I'm a kid who grew up in rural
Texas and back in those days, for a variety of reasons, always had lots of
wild duck, goose, dove & farm raised pheasant, chukkar, & quail on the table
besides local venison, out-of-state elk, et al.

They extolled the merits of the farm Grimaud Muscovy so I bit. Besides,
that's where I go to get the good deals on the Grolsch beer.

At $2.89 a pound, that's ten bucks for a little 4# duck; but I had an idea.

I wanted to try my oven's rotisserie; so I trussed up the extremities,
outfitted the oven w/ the neat little [previously unused] rotisserie rack to
fit the skewer & gizmos, cranked that little beauty up to 450 after stuffing
the li'l darlin' w/ apple, onion, & celery pieces, and in a coupla' hours...

It was delicious!

Trader Joe's probably still has some frozen Muscovies. [I have no
commercial interest blah blah] If you want to read about the farmer's
background, the bird, and some recipes, visit..
