O fellow veterans,
Has anyone already built a boot disk that empowers
a CB 486 router who is willing to lend an instructive
hand [or verbal/written guidance]? I'd like to get it
to function as a DHCP server as well. I've gathered
some info on the bits & pieces, IP masqing, ipchains,
etc., but have shallow understanding at best... so a
guru or 2 sure would help unravel the mysteries.
I infer there's no installfests planned 'til at least early
2000, thus my eagerness to get it working sooner.
I have RH 6.1 [cheapbytes] CD, OL 2.2, a 486 w/ 2 unID'd
NICs intended for router, & a slow Pentium w/CD intended for
Linux learn/play box.
TIA,
Al
