I saw this email some time ago. It's funny but I wonder if snopes.com
has any mention of it. Though, I question your use of the word "profound",
I found the passage rather funny, and I can not recall very many examples
of humour, in any way as to justify being "profound". The story about a
college student being overly funny and bold, and a professor that has a sense
of humour to include an appreciation for licentious humour... well fact is
far stranger than fiction some times.
I think, some middle-school chemistry student wrote the passage, and someone
who found it funny decided to spice up the stage by claiming it's a college
student and one who received the only 'A' in the class. Actually, I bet this
sort of story has been around since the fall of "alchemy" and dawn of
"chemistry".
