Oh please, government pork is not a red state/blue state thing, it's a 
politician thing, and they are all guilty of it.

As far as the article goes, yup, we're in for a world of hurt if/when 
this comes due.

I guess my being frugal(less charitable people call it cheap. heh) is 
coming in handy, since I save approx. 40% of my household 
income(including 401k contributions)
