Board Elections for San Diego Computer Society

San Diego Computer Society and Kernel-Panic Linux User Group will soon be one in the same. The PCUG is disbanding, leaving only KPLUG to take up the torch. The board officers that are from what will soon be the former PCUG have asked us to have an election, so they can finish up their business and resign their posts with SDCS.

We're going to hold the election in May, when the terms of the old board expire. Institutional memory transfer will take place.

In the mean time, we need a slate of officers. Some people have already volunteered, so I will put their names here. If you would like to challenge for one of the offices, let us know and we'll add your name.

• Secretary - Tracy Reed
• Treasurer - Carl Lowenstein

We also need some officers at large.

According to the Bylaws:

The directors at large were originally from the various SIGs and represented them and reported back to their group. We currently have a few directors at large, but not a full slate of eight. If you would like to serve in this capacity, please put your name in nomination.
