Getting Started

by Mark Schoonover last modified 2008-01-11 20:55

Course description and where to go to get all the information needed to take the online course from MIT OpenCourseWare.

The main MIT OCW site is located here.

Online videos can be found here. You can use the videos along with the course. The course is from 2005, the videos from 1986. This shouldn't present too much of a problem, we may have to jump around depending upon the syllabus.

Additional videos can be found at Berkeley
Another set of videos at SICP Course

The online book is freely available. I'll post the PDF version.

I'm planning on starting this course Jan 14th, 2008 following the syllabus as posted on the MIT OCW site. Working through each project, and problems sets from the book, I'll be posting each solution and discussion as we go. For now, there won't be any time frame to finish each section, but that's subject to change. When we get done, we'll move on to the next section.

Discussions for study group will occur on the KPLUG Linux Programming Study Group Discussion list at KPLUG-LPSG. If you have any other questios, please email me: Mark Schoonover
